On April 10, 2025, as part of the project “MOOC-based micro-credentials for teacher professional development” (Cred4teach) the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics of the Educational and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy” of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held a round table.

The purpose of the event was to introduce teachers of secondary schools, teachers of specialized vocational (vocational-technical) institutions, and pre-higher education institutions to the project, as well as to explain how micro-credential training programs can be integrated into the daily workload of teachers.

During the meeting, Olesia Nechuyviter, acting head of the Department of Information Computer Technologies and Mathematics, introduced the international and Ukrainian partners of the Cred4teach project and discussed the possibility of obtaining micro-qualifications based on massive open online courses.

The speaker of the event, Andriy Lomakin, presented the pan-European structure of micro-qualifications to the audience and explained how short-term, modular programs are easier to integrate into a teacher’s daily workload, while the deputy director of the Educational and Research Institute “Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy,” Oleksandr Kuprianov, focused in his speech on the pilot micro-qualification training programs within the Cred4teach project, which are recognized by the National Agency for Qualifications.

The event organizers would like to thank all participants who joined the discussion.
