Getting started: kickoff meeting in Cologne
From October 16 to 17, 2023, the transnational partnership of the CRED4TEACH project finally convened at the Fachhochschule des Mittelstands in Cologne to kick off the project. The kickoff meeting was held in a hybrid format, allowing 20 in-person and 19 virtual attendees from seven countries — Albania, Estonia, Germany, Montenegro, Portugal, Turkey and Ukraine — to participate in discussions and decision-making. Physical participants had a clear advantage, enjoying not only exchanges with international peers but also exploring Cologne’s famous sights and culinary highlights!
The meeting yielded important results:
- Consortium partners learned about each other at personal, institutional and country levels, strengthening human relations and intercultural understanding.
- Partners gained a comprehensive understanding of the project structure at macro and micro levels, along with the specific project approach, which combines elements of formal (micro-credentials) and non-formal (MOOC-based pedagogies) education.
- The workplan was adjusted, and new deadlines for short-term activities were collectively discussed and fixed.
- A series of relevant decisions were collectively made, regarding the project’s implementation.
There’s no time to take a break: upon returning home, partners need to identify and select enthusiastic staff members at their institutions who wish to become MOOC and Micro-credential designers! Go ahead!
