MOOC studio was opened at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy
On August 30, the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) studio was opened at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, Kharkiv, Ukraine.
It was designed and equipped with digital technology for creating open online courses as part of the Erasmus+ Academy`s implementation of the higher education capacity development project №101082858 CRED4TEACH “MOOC-based microcredentials for teacher professional development”.
In the presence of members of UEPA Academic Council, members of the Erasmus+ CRED4TEACH project team, and students, the MOOC studio was opened by the Rector of the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy, Professor Denys Kovalenko. He called on the broader academic community and representatives of vocational education to actively cooperate and use the UEPA MOOC studio to create modern educational content for higher and vocational education in Ukraine. The project coordinator at UEPA, Vice-Rector Professor Oleksandr Kupriyanov, presented the Erasmus+ CRED4TEACH project to the members of the Academic Council and reported on the results of the first year of its implementation.
The main purpose of the MOOC studio of the UEPA Center for Innovative Educational Technologies:
- development and creation of educational materials for online courses (video tutorials, text materials, graphics, interactive elements and tasks);
- implementation of new methods and technologies in education, such as adaptive learning, gamification, or the use of artificial intelligence to personalize the learning process;
- creation of professional development courses that help teachers and students of different levels to improve their skills or acquire new skills for career growth;
- promotion of the created courses, ensuring their visibility and accessibility to the target audience;
- providing technical support for users, as well as organizing feedback and continuous optimization of courses to improve the quality of learning;
- creating a community of students and teachers where users can share experiences, questions, and ideas.
