Opening of a video studio at Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University
Since 2023, Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University has been participating in the project “MOOC-based micro-credentials for teacher professional development” (101082858 – CRED4TEACH – ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE) of the international Erasmus+ programme, KA2 CBHE. The CRED4TEACH project is aimed at the needs of higher education institutions and decision-makers in the field of education in the target countries – Albania, Montenegro and Ukraine – in providing high-quality, operational, inclusive, flexible and competence-based training for teachers working in various educational sectors. The project solution is to create short training programmes based on MOOC, the so-called micro-credentials, to expand opportunities for the professional development of teachers in the target countries.
On November, 12, a video studio was opened at Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University. It was equipped with the European Union funding received as part of participation in the CRED4TEACH grant project. The video studio designed and equipped with special digital devices for creating massive open online courses, namely:
- one powerful personal computer for editing massive open online courses;
- 5 laptops for developing massive open online courses;
- 2 cameras for filming massive open online courses;
- 2 sets of studio lights;
- chroma key for changing and editing the background through a video editor;
- other auxiliary equipment for creating high-quality video content (acoustic system, microphones, microphone radio system, background, video mixer, on-camera monitor).
- licenses for video editors (Vegas Pro 21.0, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Cloud) and plugins for them;
- licenses for a number of office software;
- licenses for Windows 11 operating systems.
This event is an important step in implementing the objectives of the CRED4TEACH project, as the new video studio will become a powerful tool for the development of modern educational technologies, improving the quality of the educational process, strengthening its practical orientation, joint learning and research, and forming competences aimed at achieving the global goals of sustainable development.
The main purpose of the video studio of Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University is to support the process of implementing micro-credentials based on massive open online courses, namely:
- creation and development of educational materials for online courses, including video lessons, text materials, graphics, interactive elements and tasks for practice;
- integration of modern technologies and methods into education, such as adaptive learning, gamification elements or the use of artificial intelligence to individualise learning;
- development of courses to improve professional skills that help teachers and students gain new knowledge and skills for career growth;
- marketing and popularisation of the created courses to ensure their accessibility and recognition among the target audience;
- providing technical support to users, organizing feedback collection and improving courses to raise the quality of the educational process;
- creating an active community of participants where students and teachers can communicate, share experiences and develop new ideas.
