Second Transnational Meeting of the CRED4TEACH Project Held at Mediterranean University
On Thursday, April 25, the second two-day transnational meeting of partners in the CRED4TEACH project, titled MOOC-Based Micro-Credentials for Professional Development of University Professors, commenced at Mediterranean University, Podgorica. The meeting, taking place on April 25 and 26, 2024, brought together representatives from 15 institutions forming the project consortium, spanning seven countries: Albania, Estonia, Germany, Montenegro, Portugal, Turkey, and Ukraine.
The CRED4TEACH project addresses the need for high-quality, inclusive, flexible, and competency-based training programs for higher education institutions in Albania, Montenegro, and Ukraine. These programs aim to provide teaching staff at all levels with accessible opportunities for continuous professional development. The project offers a solution through the creation of various MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) and short training programs, referred to as micro-credentials, designed to support educators in enhancing their teaching practices. The project is coordinated by Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM), a university based in Bielefeld, Germany.
The two-day meeting at Mediterranean University focused on reviewing progress in Work Packages 2 and 3 (WP2 and WP3) and planning the next joint activities. The event was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Marija Janković, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the project in advancing the professional development of university staff in the target countries.
Stay tuned for updates on future activities and milestones of the CRED4TEACH project.
