5th Transnational Meeting of the CRED4TEACH

The University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” hosted the 5th Transnational Meeting of the Erasmus+ project CRED4TEACH – “MOOC-based Micro-credentials for Teachers Professional Development” on November 3–4, 2025.
The event brought together international partners from Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Ukraine, Montenegro, and Albania. Rector Prof. Dr. Tonin Gjuraj welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of this collaboration in advancing innovation in education, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eranda Bilali highlighted that CRED4TEACH is one of the most strategic projects currently being implemented at the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi.”
During the meeting, the project’s progress was analyzed, the results of the micro-credential piloting were presented, and the next steps toward its final phase were agreed upon. Dr. Albana Hadri presented the main achievements of the project’s working group regarding the development of the institutional MOOC-based micro-credential “Fostering Inclusion: Cultivating Diversity for Thriving Classrooms” emphasizing the design and delivery of these micro-credentials as an innovative method that facilitates teachers’ professional development.
Another important milestone was the official decision by ASCAP recognizing the credits of the institutional micro-credential, which significantly contributes to ensuring the sustainability of MOOC courses.
Two workshops were also organized, resulting in the drafting of an action plan outlining further steps for ensuring the project’s continuity and sustainability. All partner institutions exchanged specific ideas on the design of this plan and on the responsibilities to be undertaken in the project’s next phases.
With the support of the Municipality of Shkodra, participants also enjoyed cultural visits to the “Oso Kuka” House Museum and the Museum of Memory and Remembrance.
Special thanks go to the CRED4TEACH coordinators and all project partners for their collaboration, and continuous commitment to strengthening joint efforts in promoting innovation and excellence in teacher education.
